TENNIS TOURNAMENT – RULES
Due to the very limited amount of time, the utmost punctuality is required from all teams.
A delay of more than 10 minutes from match start will not be accepted. The player that is not present after that time will lose a match. The player present will be declared winner.
Rules (men / women)
Type of Court: Clay court
All the players play each other after which they are ranked most wins to least or best to worst
There will be no official referee. Matches will bearbitrated by players themselves, with organizing committee demanding maximum sportsmanship and fair play from players.
The Winner is the one who reaches 9thgame first.
In case of tied score, the winner of head-to-head wins.
If three or more players are tied, the referee or tournament director ranks players using the following criteria:
Head-to-head records in matches involving just the tied players;
Percentage of sets won among all sets completed;
Head-to-head records among remaining tied players;
Highest percentage of games won.
If a tie remains, a random drawing determines the order of finish among remaining tied players.
IN CASE IT RAINS, THE COMPETITION WILL BE SUSPENDED UNTIL THE RAIN REMITS. IN CASE THE COMPETITION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED, THE FINAL CLASSIFICATION WILL BE DEFINED BY THE GROUP CLASSIFICATION AT THE TIME THE COMPETITION WAS SUSPENDED.
Participants must know the “Official Tennis Rules” and abide by them.
Participants must accept officials’ decisions with sportsmanlike conduct, without disputing them.
In case of doubt, clarification may be requested only through the game captain.
Participants must refrain from actions or attitudes aimed at influencing the decisions of the referees or covering up faults committed by their team.
Participants must behave respectfully and courteously in the spirit of FAIR PLAY, not only towards the referees, but also towards other officials, the opponent, team-mates and spectators.
*We have reserved the rights to change any competition system depending of participation.
**Head of every delegation must fill in a “Legal aspect” letter.
